SonicStage Installation Errors

Sony pc that originally had SonicStage, but was previously removed. Purchased
Network Walkman NW-E507 as x-mas gift. Having no luck in installling
SonicStage to the point where it will open and run. I have installed the
CD-Rom, ver 3.0 and then downloaded ver 3.3 several times with no luck. Each
time it appears the install is successful the error message
"00000908-508
Cannot locate needed files related to Windows Media Format. Exiting SonicStage
Error Code 00004e22"
appears when trying to open SonicStage. I am not getting anywhere with Sony
so does anyone have any suggestions on what is wrong or missing?
