I have uninstalled the Sophos Antivirus program, but I cannot uninstall the
Sophos Auto Update program. I keep getting an error message "Internal Error
2738". Can anyone help, please?

Thanks John, but that did not work for me. I restored and tried the
Auto Upadate uninstall first and got the same error.

What Operating System are you using? Have you tried uninstalling from Safe
Mode? (Reboot the machine and as it boots keep tapping the F8 key until the
safe mode menu appears). I'm not sure whether this might help or not:
http://www.sophos.com/support/knowle...cle/11066.html Either way
make sure you have a restore point you can go back to if anything goes
wrong. Failing that you might have to contact Sophos technical support for
further guidance. I can't even locate the error code in this list:
