I have suddenly started having trouble with the dreaded blue screen of death
coming up fairly regularly on my computer. There is no consistancy to the
0x0 codes or, when drivers are mentioned, the drivers involved.
The only consistant thing is that it happens when I am trying to use sound,
whether streaming Internet radio or playing a CD. The length of time it
will go before crashing varies.
The computer has a NVIDIA nForce on the motherboard. I don't think I need a
lot more for most of the uses I have for sound. I have recently gone to the
NVIDIA site and upgraded the drivers they have listed, but it has not helped
the problem.
Any ideas of a way I can know that I have the latest drivers for the card or
another way to fix the problem? I have heard of updating the chip set, but
am not familiar with how to do this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
