| for some reason some of the devices on my pc are not seemingly supported in vista. for instance my wl110 wireless card the drivers for it were not natively supported in vista like they were in xp. to get around this i had to copy the drivers from the xp partition. now to our issue. for some reason the sound card was not installed with all the other devives durring the vista installation. vista does not seem to have any drivers for it because it can't fid any. it did not find any from windowsupdate. i tried the technige of copying the drivers from the xp partion but that failed. it found the driver for it in the xo partition and all but there was an issue in copying the drivers over to vista. i forgot the error code. anyone got any ideas? | Guest

| Have you tried updating the driver through Device Manager? Also, if its not supported, try reporting the issue to the developer of the device and also file a report using the feedback link on your desktop. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta "Steven Wabik" <Stevenw45@comcast.net> wrote in message news:uk0MgjXjGHA.1264@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... | To restate... it's BETA. There are going to be a hell of a lot of devices that will not have drivers. Try going to the sites of the company that made the device to see if they have drivers, or if they are going to support the device. Most of the major manafacturers have Vista information. If it's not IN Vista beta, don't expect Microsoft to be providing drivers between now and the release of Vista. | Check the manufacturer's website for a Vista driver for your card. "Steven Wabik" <Stevenw45@comcast.net> wrote in message news:esdlSKYjGHA.4972@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... Quote:
