Sound device not working

Posted: 11-27-2003, 03:49 AM
My computer used to have win2k pro but it had startup
problem-keep rebooting during startup. So I installed
winXP, unfortunately it was installed in the same
partition. Now winXP works fine, but I can't play music
using window's media player. It can't find sound device.
I tried to reinstall sound driver but it did not work,
possibly because the driver is only for up to win2k. What
should I do? Also is there a way to uninstall the damaged
win2k? Your help is greatly appreciated!
