Sound is distorted (way too loud)

Capture from DV goes fine except the sound seems to be copied way to high. I
have fiddled with MM2 settings, and XP sound setting, even camera volume to
no avail.

Could it be the 32 kHz vs 48 kHz sound setting on the camera?

I don't quite understand what the trouble is.

I might have fixed this - the camcorder recording mode was set to 32Khz. I
have changed to 48Khz and it sounds better, although still to do a full
test.

Can anyone confirm if the 48Khz settign is what MM2 prefers?
