Sound on a Laptop

I have a Toshiba Laptop Satellite 1405-S151 my problem is i have sound when
playing music for 1min and 7 seconds.I have a ALI soundcard does anyone have
a ideas on how to keep my sound.When I put on vista the only soundcard
controller I have is ALI with xp I have ALI and legacy controllers please help
