SP2 Install: so far so good.....

The install went without a hitch. I didn't like the "security center", had
to turn off the windows firewall, and the antivirus monitoring, since I have
Norton Internet Security.

Does MS feud with Symantec or something?

Other than that, I haven't really noticed anything different from the "old"
XP, except the progress indicator on startup is now blue instead of the ugly
green.

Check out Tweak Manager at WinGuides.com. They have the tweaks to change that ugly blue screen to a background wallpaper.
You could disable the security center if you want to use Norton Internet Security. Better to have security center in every windows than to be sorry for those who don't have better firewall installed.
