Lynn;
Windows XP is an operating system, not an office suite.
No Microsoft operating system has ever included Microsoft Word, Works
or other Microsoft Office applications.
Many computer manufacturers have included some of these with their
computers.
You need to buy them if you do not have them.
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/
http://www.microsoft.com/office/howtobuy/choosing.asp

Please define "Everything"
Microsoft Office Developer costs $799 US all by itself.
That is more than many computers and well over double the cost of
Windows XP Pro.

If you don't need everything that comes with Microsoft Office, check around
the net or local software stores for Microsoft Works Suite with Word. You
can usually find it for between $50.00 and $100.00. This works fine.

Be advised that the Microsoft Works Suite 2003 is a upgrade and
requires qualifying programs before it will install. Go to this
link for additional information:

Hi Lynn,

I'm not familiar with WordPerfect and it's functionality, I've only used OE
and Outlook for mail. The spell checker from the link I posted will work
with OE and Outlook. It's what I used to restore spell checking on my
laptop....much easier than trying to edit the registry.

Always read the fine print to see what version you are buying, what type
license you are getting, and what systems it will run on..

If you dont have Microsoft Office installed download and install ieSpell for
sending messages with spell checking on IE or SpellChecker for use in
Outlook Express.
