Starcraft/OS X install problem

I've installed Starcraft and Brood War--I had to boot into OS 9 to do
so for some reason, because the installer wouldn't run properly in
classic emulation mode--and then rebooted into OS X to install the
1.10 OS X patch. I followed the instructions just as they said, but
when I try to run the program--either the Carbon version or the
classic version in OS 9 emulation--I get an error box:

Data File Error

Starcraft was unable to open a required file. If this problem
persists, try reinstalling from the Starcraft CD. The problem
occurred while trying to load a file.

Error: 2

Does anyone know what's going on here? This is the second time I've
tried the installation.

My computer is a Wallstreet II G3/266 Powerbook w/ 512 megs RAM and OS
X 10.2.6.
