STARTING THE PROPER APP

The jpeg files on our Win XP machine have a netscape icon. I want to
have the image processing application open when the file is double
clicked, not netscape. I can't find the mechanism to do this.

Right-click any image file, select "open with" and then select the
application you want to use. Make sure that the "Always use this
application..." option is set before you leave the dialog with the OK
button.ou have to re-do this once for each image file type that you
want to change.

Go into the properties of any JPG file. At the top of the General page is a
summary of file type and associated program. Click the Change button to
select a different default program for the file type.
