Close all open windows.
Open just one instance of Windows Explorer/My Computer.
Set it up like you want it.. (Status Bar, Detailed/Icon/List view, etc)
Tools -> Folder Options -> View
Click the Apply to All Folders button..
(Note - if you want ALL windows to ALWAYS be like this one, uncheck
"Remember each folder's view settings" first.)
Click OK.Close that window.
Done.

BTW - I noticed you gave your email (it looks real enough) - if so, expect
some spam increase in your inbox. Some may look like they are from
Microsoft, 99% of them will not be.. Never install patches unless you
downloaded them from a reliable source.

Thanks Shenan;

Actually, I'm aware of the Microsoft emails being spam - I have
filters in place to delete them. Not sure if I want to change me
email to a phony one, as I've received some really great help sent
directly to my email instead of the newsgroup. Guess I'll wait to see
how bad it gets.

Thanks again for your help.
