| Vista RC-1 (Build 5600) Under Network Adapters in Device Manager, my system shows the following two adapters (both with yellow exclamation points); both are shown with Microsoft drivers: 6TO4 Adapter ISATAP In properties, both say "Windows cannot load drivers required for this device (Code 31)". Clicking Update Driver returns message "The best driver for this device is already installed". I know ISATAP is a sort of translator between IPV4 and IPV6. I assume that from the filename (six to four), 6TO4 must also have something to do with IPV4 and IPV6. The ISATAP entry appeared about a month ago; the 6TO4 last week. Neither my home network or Internet Dialup seem to be affected; both are working fine. Any ideas as to where these DM entries originated, or their purpose? | Guest

| My system got the "6TO4 Adapter" with the exclamation mark too (Vista Build 6000). I deleted it once from the Device Manager, but after a reboot it was back. Though, I don't know the purpose of it either. "Harry Sherman" <sherhar@westelcom.com> schrieb im Newsbeitrag news:OhRoQiYUHHA.3500@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... Quote:

| Update. There is now a KB article on the ISATAP problem. Simply acknowledges existence of problem, and in effect says "Don't worry about it...ISATAP is working fine even though DM shows it as not loaded". Don't remember the article number but just go to the KB and search for "ISATAP". Nothing on 6TO4.
