I have installed a printer with the correct driver on Computer 1 all the
correct accessories are shown (ie. Duplex & Punch) I then share this
printer and grant everyone on the network permissions to use it.
When I install the network printer on Computer 2, all goes as you would
expect, until you go into an application like Acrobat and try to print
using any of the accessories, when you change the printer properties they
revert back to the default before the print is sent, in this case Duplex is
set back to off.
If I exit out of Adobe or even Word for that matter, and go to Printers &
Faxes and change the setting to duplex (changing the local driver default)
and reopen Adobe the printer will be set to duplex on.
I figure it is a permission problem but why would it let me change the
default on the printers & faxes screen but not from within the application?
There are 4 additonal computers in this network sharing the printer from
Computer 1, 1 of them works correctly from the application software.
Anybody got any idea?
