Default Subject: Low disk space on Local Drive (C:)

I recently upgraded from windows 98 to windows XP. Before
doing the upgrade, I installed a 40 gig Hard drive.
I partitioned the drive as follows:

c: Local Drive = 4.0 gig
D: SwapFileDrive = 1.0 gig
E: DownLoadDrive = 5.0 gig
F: DataDrive = 10.0 gig
I: ApplicationDrive = 20.0 gig

My c: Local Drive have the following applications
installed:

1. Windows XP
2. Windows Updates/patches
3. MS Office 2000

I configured my system to automatically install all other
applications to the I: ApplicationDrive.
My data files associated with Outlook(ie email, contacts,
etc.) and Documents(ie word or xcel documents)
are all being saved on the FataDrive.
However, I still get the message that states that my Local
Drive has very little free space available.
I use the disk clean utility to get rid of any temp files
(ALL check boxes), however, I still have only 129Meg of
free space.

When I configured my system, I thought 4.0gig would be
more than enough to install windows xp and any updates/
patches associated with xp.

However, this is not turning out to be the case.

The questions I have are:

1. Is there anything I can do to make the operating system
use my ApplicationDrive to determine if I have enough
space to install a new application?

2. Is there anything else I can do to clean up this local
drive? Can XP, office 2000 and windows update take up 4.0
gig
of disk space?

3. Are there other temporary files somewhere that may be
taking too much space on this drive.
I'd like to have atleast 500Meg free space on this drive.

4. Can I uninstall the updates/patches and reinstall them
on the I:Application Drive?

Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Phillip Branch

4gig is a bit low for Win XP plus vol information etc.
that XP must put on the c:
That is probably why you are getting the low space message.
