Supress Pauses

Posted: 10-01-2003, 06:31 PM
Hello:
Does anyone know how to supress pauses when recording a
CD when the source CD has multiple track listings for
music that has no actual pauses.
For example - there are multiple songs that are strung
together without any pauses, one leading to the next in
continuous fashion. The source CD appropriately lists
the songs as tracks, but in fact, there is only one track
from an artistic perspective. When copying from this
source disk, each "track" is interpreted as having a
pause associated with it, and is inserted into the disk
being burned, which ruins the continuity of the
performance. This is annoying and ruins the flow of the
music, but I haven't found any means to stop it. Any
help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You need software (and a CD-burner) that supports Disc-At-Once (DAO) recording.
The absolute best Audio CD-burning app on the market is Feurio. Feurio smartly
recognizes the lack of track gaps on a live record, for instance, and rips those
songs as one large WAV file, leaving the track markers intact. Feurio is $30
shareware, but it does offer an unlimited trial period. http://www.feurio.com/

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate the input. I assume
you have the application and use it. Are there any
hitches in the installation, or is it a straight forward
process. Thanks again.

It should be pretty straight forward. Feel free to e-mail me if you need help.
