synch of motorolla mobile phone outlook

I have installed msoft office 2000 onto my PC which
contains outlook 2000. This will synchronise with the
mobile qiute well however when I set up my email account
with Virgin.net I was told to use outlook express which
will not synch when i ask the phone or PC to do so. I feel
it is something simple I have done, Can anyone help

The Motorola software is designed to work with Outlook, but not Outlook
Express.
