Synctoy 1.4 problem with Truecrypt File-hosted volume

Posted: 01-09-2008, 02:15 AM
I'm using Truecrypt v4.3 on my WinXP SP2 Home system. I have created several
TC file-hosted volumes on my NTFS partition. According to the TC user manual,
a file-hosted volume is a "normal" file (with regard to NTFS). The user can
rename the file and assign any file extension desired (or none). In this
case, I use .pdf for the file extension.

The problem is that SyncToy does not recognize these "normal" files when
entered in the 'Files to include' option!

I'm using the 'Contribute' SyncToy action. And, I specify the full file name
in the 'Files to include' field (ie, whatever.pdf)

Has anyone here encountered this problem? Any ideas or comments are welcomed.

TIA, Purv
