Default System 32 Window

I have a new Dell running Windows XP. After loading
several of my applications programs on the computer, it
was starting to build up a number of icons in the System
Tray. I like to keep the System Tray as small as
possible for quicker booting and to limit it to my
choices, not every software vendor that wants to make
their product stand out. After unchecking about a half
dozen of these programs through "msconfig," the computer
started displaying a large window titled "System 32" when
I boot up the computer. I can click it off the screen,
but haven't found a way to prevent it coming up whent the
computer boots.

I suspect the advice that is going to be offered most
often is to one-by-one turn on the programs I unchecked
through msconfig and see which one causes it to go away.
Just thought it was worth asking if anyone knew what
might make that System 32 window appear to save the
lengthly effort of shutting the computer down and
rebooting after turning each one of those programs back
on.

If you have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card, see
www.kellys-korner.com/xp_tweaks.htm, Line 260, System32 Folder Opens Upon
Boot

Otherwise, see:

System32 Folder Opens When Logging on to Windows
