System Boot Problems Dell Inspiron 8100

Posted: 08-16-2003, 03:01 PM
Friends,

When my Dell laptop boots I get a black screen with about
a 2" white strip on the bottem. I have to re-boot many
times before the computer will boot normally.

I have been successful a couple of times removing the
battery and rebooting and many other times not. Now I
have to leave the computer up and running 24x7 to make
sure I will not loose it altogether. I am running
Microsoft Windows Home edition.

Has anyone experienced this problem and does anyone have
a solution.

Thaks

Charles
