Default The system could not find the environment option that was entered

about a month ago my mothers OneCare stopped working properly, and yesterday
my one care was in the red danger zone and said that an important upgrade
failed and to try it again. i go to try and reset the permissions for OneCare
and the message::
"The system could not find the environment option that was entered"
i whent to the online help center and nothing seemed to work.
i tried to change settings for it and same message comes up.
i tried to go into system restore and the same message comes up
i cannot change any settings on my computer.
i cannot open any downloads either, same message pops up
i tried to uninstall OneCare and it says there is an error it has already
been unistalled, but it is not.
my brother has the same problem on his computer with the OneCare not working
and cannot un install it.
this morning i was using my firefox web browser and all of a sudden it
stopped working and shut down. i re opened it and the pop ups came up for
settings as they had when i first downloaded the web browser and all my saved
information has dissapeared, passwords, bookmarks ect.
i then tried to restart my computer, and nothing changed except my backround
on my computer dissapeared. someone please help me i cant seem to do anything
to fix my cpu

Hi Lisa,

Well this certainly don't sound good. Given the fact that all you described
I would highly recommend backing up all your user files, music and whatever
else you need to save and reformat your drive and start over fresh.

Before you do try the above do you have your Firewall running?
The message "The system could not find the environment option that was
entered" can come from many things, but in your case theirs just to many for
the norm. Most likely you are infected with one of more Viruses and or a lot
of Spyware or both.
