their website.

System Crash

Working on the Internet last night, system freezes
completely. ebooted only to not be able to access
anything, internet, email, norton antivirus. After
several attempts I got worried about hackers and
suchlike. COuldn't do a re-store (couldn't even access
restore area). So, re-loaded XP (hate XP), could dial up
to ISP, but still couldn't access anything, so re-aloded
again and this time I could access norton and
restore.....could not do a successful restore. Then,
completely lost the the ability to dial up, could not re-
install modem. Also, got an install.exe not complete
dialog box and had to keep shutting down. All in all,
nightmare!! Any suggestions anybody? Hate XP so much am
thinking of reinstalling W98. COntact me on the above if
anybody has ideas.....my brain is worn out thinking.

I hear ya! You're so screwed up now you may as well reformat and reinstall
XP. You have some issues happening with your machine, for sure. Take a
couple of deep breaths and everything will be ok. Have all your system
documentation handy, set aside a couple of hours and stick the XP cd in the
box and reformat and reinstall. You have to enable a boot from the cd to do
the clean install. A quick security note here: Before you allow the
machine to connect to the internet, install a firewall, or enable the XP
Internet Connection Firewall. You can get infected with only a few minutes
of unprotected exposure to the internet! Practice safe computing!

>all i can say is if you get up and running install go-
back far better and easy to get at if a crash
happens.just hit the space bar as go back appears from
boot up . takes you straight in.
