system hangs during start-up

Posted: 06-11-2006, 10:08 AM
I've tried to installe Vista B2 several times now. But I haven't been
succesfull.

This is mij system:
AMD 3300+ 64 bits
1GB memory
128 MB nvdia VGA
2 HD's IDE, 35GB and 80 GB, 35 GB is my desired instalationdisk
DVD-player (IDE)
DVD-burner (IDE)

The problems always occurs at start-up of vista (before even installing).
(couldn't find or make a screenshot, but it's the Vista equivalant of the
following XP-screenshot:
http://www.themexp.org/screenshots/large/boot/11127.jpg )
I tried the following things:
1: install when booting from DVD with the 32 bits version.
2: install as dual boot from windows XP (it installs untill the computer is
re-booted during setup) again with the 32 bits version.
3: install when booting from DVD with the 64 bits version (yes I downloaded
that one as well, you could never now)
4: because off step 2 I could use advanced start-up options, so I started
with the logging function on. no log was created (I asume because windows
hasn't stated far enough).
5: Running the upgrade advisor. Besides the fact that bacause of step 2
there wasn't enough space on my hard drive (rubbish fom that instalation), It
said that my system was suitable and ready for Vista.

Off course I am aware this is a Beta, but I upgraded my PC very recently to
be ready for windows Vista. So hopefully someone can give me a sollution (or
keep my fingers crossed to see if this problem is solved in the final version)
