System Restore vs Uninstall

Posted: 03-09-2007, 06:02 AM
I always create a system restore point before I install new software.
Although Roxio claims Easy Media Creator 9 will work with Vista, every time
I boot up I get a message that a Roxio driver is not compatible with Vista,
and will be blocked from loading.

Which would be the better method to take Easy Media Creator 9 off my system,
use the system restore point or just uninstall the program? Thanks very
much.

I had that issue too. I Uninstalled the Roxio Drag To Disc thing.
(didn't use it anyway's).

That done - no problems, with the rest of the suite.

(You can uninstall it separate from the rest, its at separate entry in
the list of installed programs.)

Regards.

You should always try uninstalling a problem application first before
resorting to System Restore :-)
