Taking ownership not helping

Posted: 09-05-2003, 07:27 AM
I have a drive which had XP Home with security enabled on
it that failed and could not be revived even with
recovery console. I have taken ownership of the
directory to retrieve my data, however, the one thing I
am trying to retrieve now is my *.pst file which is not
visable in safe mode. Is there a way to simply remove
the security as an administrator?? I'm assuming not as
every recovery discussion suggest taking ownrship. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
