| In XP, as an Administrator, I was able to log off standard users. I have several kids and they frequently leave stuff running. In the past, I could easily go into task manager and log them off. In Vista, this is no longer possible as I keep getting an Access is denied notification. If this is true, then Vista is about the only computer system that I have ever heard of that prohibits the system administrator from bouncing computer users. Is there something else about this that I should know? | Guest

| Open Task Manger, then click the "show processes for all users" button on the Processes tab. Confirm the UAC dialogue. This will reopen Task Manager with Admin priveleges. You should then have the log off option on the Users tab. -- Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-)Batteries not included. | Hi, Try what Jane said. Or launch Taskmgr.exe from an elevated Command Prompt. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] Windows® Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "Proudmale" <Proudmale@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:528DF421-A15C-4D44-ACE8-F6B4EA5BF869@microsoft.com... You would answer Yes to it to apply the command. You can also see how to enable the Task Manager here to if that does not work out for you.
