Hi there Terry,Click Start, Run, type MSCONFIG and click OK.
Select startup tab, and click to clear msmsgs check box
Click OK to restart the computer.
Disable MSConfig Selective Startup Screen

A better way to disable it: If you don't want messenger running whenWindows starts, open Messenger, go to Tools, Options, and turn it off. Now
the icon won't show either. I think you can also tell it not to show the
icon even when loaded.
