taskbar properties

When I am in Taskbar and Start menu properties, In Custom
Notifications, all of the icons in "past items" are wrong
(they don't match up with thier program).
Also, ones that I have set to show always, somtimes
don't, (even when active).

Help is appreciated and Thanks in advance!

In the taskbar - properties - customize.... how do you
remove folders or items under Past Items.?? Have looked
around for how but cannot find the info

In the taskbar - properties - customize - Advanced tab -
bottom right "Recent Documents" - Clear list button.
