TCP/IP Printer Server problem with Unix app - MS response requested

Posted: 10-15-2003, 05:02 PM
We have an unix app installed on Windows XP Professional SP1. On the same
machine we have an Xerox Docutech Printer also set up locally. Everytime
we want to print from the unix app to a network printer, we have to turn off
TCP/IP Printer Server Service. If not we get the following warning in a
event log:
Source: LPDSVC
Event ID: 4008
Description: printer \\127.0.0.1\\\servername\queuename specified in the
request from 127.0.0.1 does not exist. request ignored.

Does anyone have any suggestions or workarounds for this issue?
