telephone number to receive fax

i use aol broadband and am able to send fax with windows fax console.
however, i would like to receive fax and need assistance on which telephone
number to use?

It's always best to use the one the telephone company assigned to your line
since that's the only one that would work.

would that be the number that people call for landline conversation.

If that's the line you attached to your modem, yes.
Fax is landline too, you know. It is entirely an analog function.
