Telnet/DOS Window

Posted: 08-01-2003, 12:20 PM
Periodically when I have a telnet session open (Start,
Run, CMD, Telnet x.x.x.x), the telnet window will not
close, and I cannot log off or shutdown the machine
softly. The only way to get rid of the window is to
manually power off the machine. This has happened on Win
2000 and XP machines, and it has always been when I had a
session open to a Cisco Router or Switch. Cisco says it
is a Microsoft problem, but I can't find any info
anywhere... Does anyone know how to fix this??? Thanks!
