Test Page fail to Print error when printing a test page to a network printer

I have a new computer that will only print to one network
printer. If I add another network printer, it adds fine
with no erros and the status is ready, but when I print a
test page I get the following error:

Test page fail to print. Would you like to view the
print troubleshooter for assistance? Operation could not
be completed.

I have deleted all the network printers, intalled the
latest XP updates, and re-added the netwok printer but
with the same results. I know the network cables are
fine. Other computers have used the same connection and
have had no problems. If I change the default printer to
anothe printer and reboot, then the printer that is now
the default printer will work, but the one that I removed
the default printer status from will get the above error.

Any sugestions?
