The blank icon above the classic logon...

In classic Vista logon screen, above the username/password input, there's an
empty box where a picture/image is suppose to go, any idea how to set an
image in there??

Try clicking on the blank square. That should take you to a "manage account"
type list that includes choosing a picture for the square.

You can click on the picture box when you see it at the top of the Start
menu. That will work ( did it that way to put a personal pic in there) if my
other suggestion doesn't.
