The Spanish language

Posted: 05-30-2006, 07:48 AM
Hi all

does anyone know when the Spanish language version of Vista will be
released?

another question

who ever is using Beta 2.0, are all 4 languages for the voice recognition
installed and working. in other words if you installed the English version
and wanted to dictate a document in German does the voice recognition
recognize German.

I just get the feeling Microsoft is not going to give us that flexibility.

Sean

Hello! The Spanish version of Vista will not be available until it is
released to the world. However, alot of people use the MUI packs, but
still, no word yet when those MUI packs will be available. Sorry that I
can't proved a better answer, you're waiting as well as I.

Hey Dena, hey Sean )

Generally the MUI language packs are available about a month or two after
the initial RTM - so in theory it should be around February/March 2007 if
we're lucky - but if we're really lucky, they'll release them just before
RTM )

I am sure MUI is available only to Volume License customers. But I am sure
localized versions will be available soon.

It's available to everyone as a download - they did it with R2 after that
was released.

How can I acquire Windows MUI?
The Windows XP/2000 MUI is sold only through Volume Licensing programs such
as the Microsoft Open License Program (MOLP / Open), Select, and Enterprise
agreement (or with a new computer as an OEM version at customer request). It
is not available through retail channels.

http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/D....mspx#MUIques6

Wherever you get your info from, its surely not from research.
