Themes

Every time I change my theme, my computer does do the
changes. However, even though I hit the apply button to
save changes, the next time I boot it goes back to an old
theme.

Please advise,

Mike

I have the exact problem on my WinXP computer, it refuses
to remember the Theme that I installed either I reboot my
computer or stay logged off for more than 15 minutes. Does
anyone know how to fix this?

Theme question here... I have all the theme programs. XP plus,
StyleXP, Object Desktop (windows blinds) Desktop Architec. I would
like to have a theme that includes: Colored icons, wallpaper and XP
visual styles, sounds. Isn't there a single program that can do this?
I can play around and get a combo I like but keeping it "all together"
into a theme package that you can go back to just isn't working. I'm
sure I'm probably doing something wrong.

While on this topic... regarding MS Plus, you'd think the program
would come with some options to create a theme. With only 4 themes I
think I wasted my money.

Any suggestions are welcome.

search in google or yahoo for themes windows xp. surf
around and find 1000's of sites.
windowblinds is a good place to start. search in google
or yahoo for windowblinds. be sure to read all
information about the themes.

Object Desktop from Stardock does it all. I think it is about $50.00 US

Hi,

Try the winstyles program from www.stardock.com. That pieces together
all the programs into one theme file.

In Display>Appearance>Advanced...How do I change "Message Text" without changing "Window Text?" These are separate options yet I cannot change one without the other also changing!

I made the mistake in xp of deleting the themes in the c:\
folder. Now when I select themes in
c:\windows\desktop\properties\themes, the themes I deleted
are still listed there. When I try to delete them as
offered to do in the properties window of the desktop, the
message says in effect, "the theme does not exist". How
can I delete the theme name from the
desktop\properties\themes window
