This is known as 'flip 3D' - to get it press the Windows key + tab. If you
do not have a Windows key: alt + ctrl + tab.

Oh well thanks. I thought it would be pushing it a bit anyway. Still,
functionality is more important than looks ;-)

Actually, alt + ctrl + tab is not an alternative to Windows key + tab. for
'Flip 3D'. You may still have glass. I do not know what the non-Windows key
version is, does anyone?.

Using it to move quickly between programs is an individual preference. Just
like some people prefer to do things with keyboard shortcuts and some prefer
the mouse.

It's very handy when you have a lot of windows open. You can easily flip
through them to bring the one you want to the front, to the front.

Given the fact that keyboards are as cheap as chips, get a new Windows
keyboard. Then you can really test it.

I could have sworn alt + ctrl + tab worked for flip 3d. Maybe I was hitting
windowsKey + ctrl + tab, because that works, though is one more key than
necessary.

Windows Key + Ctrl + Tab brings up Flip 3D and keeps it there until you select a
window that you want to view, so that was likely the combo.
