Default Time settings in Vista

Vista consistently changes the system time on my home desktop computer,
advancing it by 2 hours each time it does so. I've noticed that Vista does
this on a friends laptop, also. Is there a fix coming for this or does anyone
know how to solve this problem?

I have the same problem as the OP, and my time zone IS correct,

Everytime that I rebbot the computer the time is 3hours earlier than the
real tiem, and since the new time change last week-end, my laptop keep
reverting back to an hour before, so every now and then I have to manually
reset the time, but within a few hour it will be again set back 1 hour

Why is it that it can not keep the time setting

Hi Martin,

Double check your time settings in the BIOS. If they look correct, then
you might replace the CMOS battery on the motherboard with a new one to
test. It shouldn't cost much at all for the battery. It usually will be
a lithium button cell, type CR2032.

BIOS setting are already, and were on delivery correct, as for the battery,
it a laptop, so it can not be changed, and the laptop power is always on the
landlaine utility, so those option are not valid at the moment
