Timing out problem-very frustrating

Posted: 10-21-2003, 07:31 PM
hi, my remote desktop connection times out if I do not
have any activity going on- is there a setting on the
remote server that can adjust the time connection? If
yes, would it be a setting on my computer or the remote
one? thank you and I appreciate your help. renee

There some Group Policies that you can configure to disconnect idle sessions. Go to "Start -> Run"
and type gpedit.msc at the command line. Navigate to the "Local Computer Policy -> Computer
Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> Windows Components -> Terminal Services -> Sessions".
Do this on the RDP host.
