Default Tiny Laptop running XP Home

I have the following error code. Windows will not load.
Please help: -

When the laptop is turned on, after a short wait it gives
the following message on a
DOS like black screen...

PCI PARITY ERROR ON BUS / DEVICE / FUNCTION 0000H

This screen then disappears and is replaced by a similar
screen with the
following message...

PARITY CHECK 10000

Nothing further happens and there is no other option other
than to switch off.

The laptop hard disk has been tried in another laptop, and
is OK.

Any ideas?

Parity errors are usually RAM related

PCI parity probably means that a PCI card or PCI BIOS
setting has a problem. There could be bad memory on a card,
a PCI controller could be bad or there could just be bad RAM
that lost track of the boot sequence.

Does the manufacturer have a service center near you or do
you have a FedEx/UPS near?
