When you move 'frame-by-frame' in Movie Maker 2, you're really moving two
frames at a time.... this is one of the trade-offs to provide real time
previewing of the timeline without having to wait through long rendering
periods.
How does it effect you? Hopefully in no way.... other than realizing that
the quality of your saved movie will be higher than what you see when
previewing. Those who need a frame-by-frame project environment should adapt
by using other software for such surgical operations.... taking a snapshot
of a frame of a bird taking off might be a case where the exact frame
showing the perfect image would warrant the extra detail. Most users
wouldn't notice or need the added precision.
NTSC is 30 frames per second and MM2 is showing you 15.... PAL is 25 frames
per second and MM2 shows 12-1/2. Just note it and keep editing.
