Tell us more about Network Magic. Is it freeware, shareware, retail? Where
can we download it? Is it secure and malware free? Thanks...

I fear Network Magic was no solution for me. I have the same problems that
I had before I installed it.

There's a free version that provides some basic configuration for you and a
paid version that provides more advanced configuration. It essentially
places a easy front end on the various spots in Vista (or XP) that you use
to configure the network. Nothing you can't do yourself, just sort of "puts
in under one hood"

Run the network setup wizard on each machine. Check that both computers have
the same "workgroup". Check the workgroup by right clicking "my computer"
and select properties.
