Too many events?

I started back trying to work with MM2. I have run into a problem, each time
I try to import a mpeg2 file that I have captured from my WinTV card. MM2
gives me an error saying:

"dvcr004.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many methods to
fire events from"

It does that even with files I have previously imported into to MM2
successfully. Help!

It's a codec issue, the one you are using to decode the MPEG2 files. See the
Importing... Video... MPEG2 page of www.papajohn.org

Too many events?

When I try to import an .mpg file already saved to my hard disc I get the
following message:
D:\0509_13003601_01.mpg could not be imported. An interface has too many
methods to fire events from. Anyone know what this error message means and
how I can get around it?

It means you have to convert your MPEG-2 files into other ones such as AVI
before importing them into Movie Maker.... I use TMPGEnc to do that
conversion (see the Setup > Other Software page of my site). You may already
have software that can do it.
