Total newbie upgrade from Win98; print screen can I record screen movies?

Posted: 11-17-2003, 06:25 PM
I remember several years ago Lotus had a tool that allowed the user to
record what they did on their screen (which was helpful to generate
low-tech training documentation). In Win98 I've taken multiple screenshots
of various projects and made static presentations, but I'd like to get back
to capturing short screen "movies", preferably where I can crop the size
and only show the part of the screen that I need my users to see... and
from there I could paste it into a powerpoint presentation or something.

Does winXP have any functionality that could help me do this, or do I need
to look to 3rd party products? I just upgraded, so I haven't had any
exposure to XP at all.

Thanks!
Keith
