Tow operating system how can I delet the one

in my computer I have two operating systems both of them
is xp professional. The firest one is working berfectely
but the second operating system when I secect it, it give
me the masseage
windows could not start because of a computer disk
hardware configuration problem.
could not read from the selected boot disk. chaeck boot
path and disk hardware.
please chack the windows documentaion about hardware disk
configuration and your hardware reference manual for
additional infromation.

how can I delet the other system that have this masseage.
I have just one operating system in my pc.
