After rebooting, Windows starts running something called the Windows Kernel
Logger. It writes a file called trace.log in
c:\windows\system32\logfiles\wmi. I have to run tracelog.exe to kill two
copies of the kernel logger. If I don't do that, within a day the log file
has eaten all my free space.
I am sure something I did in the past created this situation and there's
some mysterious registry setting somewhere to stop this behaviour, but I
can't find it. It is very annoying. Can anyone help me with hopw to turn off
the launching of the Windows Kernel Logger?
Thanks,
Pito
