Yes. But you don't say what problem or error message you are getting when
you try so it's hard to be more helpful.

I have used the windows easy tranfer wizard twice. First as custom second
as just my settings. Both times neither my mail or contacts moved to
vista/WM. Vista is installed on it's own HD that was formatted before
install. Before the transfer I disconected the HD with Vista and ran the
wizard fron DVD. The transfer file was stored on another partition of the XP
OS drive. After reboot and reconnecting the Vista HD I ran the wizard and
while some of the files transfered my mail didn't show in windows Mail.

System
MSI K8N Neo MB
AMD 64 3200
WD 80GB 7200RPM HD (vista)
Maxtor 200GB SATA HD (xp)
1.5GB PC3200
ATI Radeon 9700 pro
Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS
5.1 speakers
Thrustmaster HOTAS Cougar
Gateway 21" widescreen monitor

I think there are some import issues with the x64 bit versions.

You can save the messages as eml files from OE and then drag them into a
WinMail folder. Hopefully they will have this fixed though.

I'm running the 32 bit version. I still have XP installed on another drive
so I can access the files. Win Mail has a check bow for importing from a
"identity" but it's grayed out. What's the process for saving mails as .eml
files?

If you are "dual booting" you can go to the XP install, open Outlook Express
and open the folders you wish to save mail from, selecting all (Ctrl+A)
then just drag/drop them into an Explorer folder you create (give them a
name so you can remember which is which, i.e., Inbox, Sent Items, etc.).
The drag/drop to the folder you create will save them all as EML files.
Then boot into Vista and open the folders you wish to save them to, and
drag/drop from the folders you created into the Preview Pane in the
appropriate folder in Windows Mail.

If you're not dual booting, you might want to use a DBX extractor such as
DBXtract or DBXpress from www.oehelp.com to help Steve with his programming
efforts relating to mail programs in Windows.
