1. Remove Windows XP from your old computer by reformatting the drive.

2. Install Windows XP on your new computer.

3. When requested to activate XP, do so via the internet. If it is unsuccessful,
then select the option to "activate by telephone".

Depends on whether the OEM version came with the pc or if you buy an OEM
version.

No, it doesn't. The rules for OEM versions are the same, either
way.
