Have you tried installing it on the other computer?
what were the results?
And is it an OEM or retail version?
If its been over 120 days you sould be able
to install and activate with no problems.

No go with that request.XP will detect 2nd computer
since all hardware is diffrent,it will work for 30 days.

Greetings --

Assuming a retail license, simply remove WinXP from the computer
it is currently on, and install it onto the new one. If it's been
more than 120 days since you last activated that specific Product Key,
you'll most likely be able to activate via the Internet without
problem. If it's been less, you might have to make a 5 minute phone
call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:

Andrew;
Your information may be incorrect.

Activation may detect the new hardware, but if Windows XP is retail
and uninstalled from 1st computer, worst case is a 5 minute toll free
call to Microsoft.

So it is actually a Go!
