Transparency Problem Redux

I don't know what to make of this. I have imported a graphic into a
doc, and set the transparency to 75%, no fill color. It looks great on
screen, but when printing to PDF or to printer, the graphic is fully opaque!

Am I doing something wrong or is this a bug, known issue, "feature"?

I'm using Office X on OS X 10.3 (Panther).

Thanks.

P.S. Jim, I didn't realize that the forward from another newsgroup
would be in form of an attachment. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Jeff,

By "graphic" do you mean a graph or some other kind of image object?

If it's a graph you're referring to then you'll have to hope Apple and Adobe
get over their tiff so that OSX gets postscript level 3. When that happens
the problem will disappear since Office supports postscript level 3 already.

Hi,

Then I would try printing with a different model printer in an attempt to
see if this is being caused by the printer driver.
