Trojan virus - HELP!!

I turned on my computer this morning and my Norton virus
popped up saying that I had the Trojan virus and that they
could not delete it. Can anyone direct me on how to get
rid of the virus. Thanks!!

I beleive I had one myself about a month ago, all the info I got was to do a
DESTRUCTIVE restore. Format the hard drive and start again.
I hope you have a current backup!

There is no such thing as *the* trojan virus - a trojan is a type of virus.
What is its name?

Here is what the box says that popped up
c:\Program Files\CommonFiles\updater\wupdater.exe
Virus name: Download.trojan (this is hi-lited in blue
like you should click on it)
Unable to repair this file

Hard to help since you don't say what the virus was.

If Norton detected it, surely there is more info about it on their web
site. Check there for best advice.
